Black Jade Sculpture
What do you think of this sculpture? I’ll let you in on a little secret: it’s mine. I’m really happy with the end result. As has been customary I will leave the interpretation of the piece entirely in your hands. I don’t find myself thinking it has one particularly specific meaning. It has one for me, but it should also have one for you. It should be subjective is my official stance as the artist.
I almost don’t want to admit it, but I had a pretty serious injury while working on this. After confirming that I would be able to buy oxycodone with credit card I stopped worrying. That’s what they asked me to take after all. Could the medication have affected the end result seeing it is so strong? Hard to say. Such is the nature of art I guess. That it is affected by factors outside of even the creator’s control.
